Since established in 2004, Retriever has had an impressive expansion. They are the leading supplier of media monitoring, media archive and media analysis in the Nordic countries, with the largest private media environment in media analysis. -Social Media is a natural part of the communication mix that we offer our customers, and they are equally as important as the traditional media channels. We are experiencing that many find it difficult to keep track of how the social channels affects their business and brand. In order to achieve this, it is important to ensure suitable systems, tools and means to analyze, to create a sufficient overview. We are now investing in further developing our services to respond to customer needs. Which is why we are looking for a Nordic Product Manager in Social Media who will administer the work of identifying needs and developing the services in close collaboration with our Media Analysts and Developers, says Espen Viskjer.
In the position as the Nordic Product Manager there will be a grand willingness to invest in the company and familiarizing with some of the most exciting businesses in the Nordic´s, while working to identify needs and developing new services. Retriever is looking for a candidate who lives either in Norway, Sweden or Denmark, with an excellent outlook of the Nordic media landscape and the scope for Social Media services. In this role, you will work to uncover answers to the following questions: What do businesses need in the future? What goes on in social channels? How should companies publish? How should they listen? How should they analyze?
-We are looking for someone with the guts to create his or her own path, and are both innovative and commercial. We think you have experience as a Consultant within Social Media, or developing services tied to this field of work. Your formal background isn´t the most important part for us, but your ability to execute your tasks and that you share our vision on how to lead the development of these services on an international level, says Espen.
Acquisition of a platform of success
In June 2019, Retriever bought the Social Media sensation, RelationDesk, and can now offer a complete solution for companies who wants to integrate communication into all types of media channels.
– Through the acquisition of RelationDesk, we are now the only company to offer a complete solution for managing Editorial and Social Media. This was based on request from our customers and will become the new industry standard. With RelationDesk, our customers get a complete overview of what is being said about them throughout all media channels, while also being able to influence the dialogue in Social Media, handle customer inquiries, and analyze the outcome, says Espen Viskjer.
– This acquisition is in accordance to our strategy. We will position ourselves within our core business, while simultaneously strengthening ourselves further on Social Media and more comprehensive analysis deliveries for our customers, says the CEO of Retriever, Robert Söderling.
