Rights & Brands Norway is looking for a Commercial Manager
Rights & Brands is a 360 licensing and publishing agency bringing Scandinavian rights and brands to a global arena. Rights & Brands represents iconic Scandinavian brands, artists, and authors and is the worldwide master agent on behalf of the Moomins. Other representation includes Kjell Aukrust, Astrid Lindgren and Ilon Wikland, Stig Lindberg, Marius of Norway, PURENorway, and many more.
Over the last three years, Rights & Brands has become one of the most successful licensors of Nordic content in a global market.
Together with the Norwegian animation studio Qvisten Animation, we have founded Rights & Brands NorwayTo further develop and commercialize creative assets, and manage Norwegian brands and cultural heritage, we are now looking for a Commercial Manager to lead our newly established office in Oslo.
Main responsibilities and tasks
Your key responsibility will be developing, managing, and building represented brands commercially. You will initiate and drive tsales opportunities, both strategically and operationally with new and existing partners, focusing on the B2B market. You will work with our strong Norwegian line-up within the Kjell Aukrust-universe, Marius of Norway, and PURENorway, as well as other brands. You will also explore other Norwegian brand opportunities and establish new collaborations and representation. .
As Commercial Manager you will be responsible for all collaborations, launches and sales we make in Norway. Self-driven and a natural communicator on all levels, you will cooperate with customers, distributors, retailers and creators.
Day-to-day business is made in close collaboration with your colleagues in Sweden, Finland, Japan, and China, where you can take advantage of their success stories when creating your own. The position reports to Commercial Director Nordic, and you will work closely with the CEO at Rights & Brands in Stockholm.

To succeed and thrive in the role of Rights & Brands Oslo’s commercial leader, we look for someone who is motivated by creative sales solutions, collaborations and team work. You have a strong understanding of branding building, and innovation.
Energy, creativity, and passion are words that describe you, and you are an excellent long-term relationship builder. You think strategically and have a great business understanding. In addition, we expect that you:
- Have a minimum of five years’ experience in conceptual and creative sales
- Have a track record of excellent sales results and negotiation skills, especially in the B2B market
- Speak fluent Norwegian and is at ease communicating in English, both written and spoken.
- Like to travel for work, as it will be part of this position

Qvisten Animation is expanding internationally with their film and drama series, and searching a leader to make this expansion successfully.
Qvisten Animation is one of the leading Nordic animation studios. We aim to gather and entertain the whole family and at the same time tell emotional stories with depth and educational value.
About Qvisten
In 1994, two guys in their early twenties founded an animation studio in Oslo, Norway. The only office space they could afford was a small, drafty attic. In Norwegian this is called a “kvistloft”, so the name Qvisten pretty much gave itself. They defined three goals: become as good as the legendary animation studio Aardman Animations, create a music video for their Danish musical heroes D:A:D, and at one point of time, in the distant future, create their very own feature film. They also had a clear vision: Qvisten should create content that captivates, activates, engage, and thrills kids – Qvisten´s characters should become a part of their childhood.
27 years later, Quisten have reached most of their goals and the vision is still burning bright: Qvisten shall be a source of great childhood experiences and memories on several different levels – films, TV, games, learning and theme parks. “We´re not located in an attic anymore, and two young guys have become two seasoned Producers with around 70 excellent artists and colleagues. The role as Leader for film and drama series
Your mission, as our new leader for film and drama series, will be to manage and develop our international potential for our film and drama production. You will be responsible for Qvisten’s increased focus on productions within television and streaming services, and for expanding our international network. We are looking for like-minded partners to help us create better, bigger, and more international stories. This leadership position will help us reach our full potential and become an internationally recognized studio in the production of animated content for film, television and streaming.
We believe that you have experience from working with similar tasks in the past. This includes that you have led, lifted, commercialized, financed and/or produced film and drama in a recognized and often international professional environment. You have been a key player in expanding successful stories from idea to production and further into the international market.
You will become a central part of our management team. As you will have personnel responsibility for our producers, you must have excellent leadership qualities and social skills that inspires them to perform their very best. You will become a unifying force for the house and colleagues internally, and for our partners externally.
